Since I became interested in e-gold and Digital Gold Currencies I have always been on the lookout for ways to tie my existing web businesses into this emerging ecommerce vehicle. The advantages for doing business in DGCs speak for themselves, but I'll enumerate them here briefly. DGCs are:
- Gold-backed (or some other precious metal)
- Irrevocable
- Extremely liquid
- Anonymous
- Fungible
- Effectively Offshore
It was natural for me to want to start accumulating assets in the form of gold-backed currencies. I have a number of web businesses which basically make their money via PPC Search Engines and affiliate marketing programs for various products. The obvious step was to find similar types of programs which pay out in e-gold or some other DGC, which, alas, is harder to find than one might think.
Because the entire Digital Gold Currency scene is still very much in its infancy, go looking for these types of programs and the vast majority of what you'll find is garbage: Ponzi schemes like "High Yield Investment Programs (HYIPs)", get-rich-quick schemes, useless "e-marketing e-books", spam, and scams.
But there are real programs out there for real products and services, that remit in e-gold and this is the sign of things to come. This site is a modest effort to separate the wheat from the chaff. It is the result of many hours of scouring the web for substance and wading through a lot of sewage, I hope it is of value and serves some purpose.
